Timothy Shih
As Principal of Wolfberry, Tim invests his time, resources and capital in people, companies and causes that he believes in. After obtaining a shiny Computer Science degree from Yale University, Tim began his journey as a software engineer working on wireless mesh sensor networks, a precursor to IoT technology. For reasons he still needs to explain to this day, Tim "pivoted" into law, obtaining a J.D. from Duke University and practicing at the New York office of Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP, where he specialized in securities, M&A and corporate law. Tim then took his skills across the Pacific to Beijing, China where he tried his hand in entertainment law bringing Hollywood films into China including: Iron Man 3, Looper, Twilight and Transcendence. It was in Beijing, and then Shanghai, that Tim began his entrepreneurial journey, founding a private equity fund focused on financing large scale real estate projects in the United States and specifically, Florida, utilizing international capital. Over time, this grew from purely real estate financing to real estate sales, investment and development with a presence around the world including: Miami, Fort Lauderdale, New York, San Diego, Silicon Valley, Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Istanbul.
Tim continues to keep his legal mind sharp as a founding partner of Yee & Shih, LLP and his real estate mind focused as a founding partner of OneWorld Group. In addition, Tim is a member of YPO Pacific Rim where he serves as an executive officer as well as on the North Asia regional board. The son of Taiwanese immigrants, Tim gives back to the community as the President of the Taiwanese Junior Chamber of Commerce in San Diego. Tim is an active angel investor and is a member of Tech Coast Angels - San Diego and Miami Angels.
